Arrival at the airport


Travelling by car
Are you travelling by car? Find out about our parking facilities and book your parking space online in advance (Parkmöglichkeiten am Flughafen Leipzig/Halle Parkmöglichkeiten am Flughafen Dresden).
Arriving by train
Dresden Airport station is located in the basement of the terminal. There, the S-Bahn line S2 runs every half hour to the long-distance stations Dresden-Neustadt and Dresden Hauptbahnhof. Further information can be found here.
Leipzig/Halle Airport has its own railway station directly below the check-in area and is connected to the local and long-distance rail services of Deutsche Bahn. Passengers and visitors can easily reach the check-in hall by escalator and lift.

At the airport




Travel day
We recommend our passengers to be at the airport about 2.5 hours before departure.
Have you booked your parking space online (Flughafen Leipzig/Halle, Flughafen Dresden)? Then use the QR code to enter.
Luggage
Check the free baggage allowance, possible excess baggage costs and the dimensions for hand baggage with your airline in advance. Make sure that your checked baggage is clearly labeled and that your hand baggage complies with the requirements of your fare.
Check-in
If possible, please use the online check-in of the respective airline or the quick check-in machines on site.
If possible, have your travel and ID documents ready. Also make sure you have electronic devices to hand and pack liquids in accordance with the applicable safety regulations (in a transparent, resealable 1-liter bag).
Security check
To avoid long waiting times, we kindly ask all passengers to proceed directly to the security check after check-in.
Pay attention to the announcements and the requests of the Federal Police.


Gastronomy
Shorten your waiting time in the departure area and treat yourself to a snack or visit one of our shops.
Departure
Pay attention to the boarding announcements. Arrive punctually at the gate, which is published on the display boards. Have your boarding pass and your identity card/passport ready.
