Barrier-free travel
Leipzig/Halle Airport is designed so that disabled people can move around without any difficulty. Toilets, lifts, phones, shops and eateries all have easy access.
Passengers with restricted mobility or a disability can obtain support from the PRM service provided by the airport services. The support service, which provides assistance for affected people on behalf of the airlines, helps them on the way to and from the aircraft, when checking in their luggage or during passport and customs checks.
Please inform your airline or your travel agency that you wish to make use of the support services at Leipzig/Halle Airport at least 48 hours before your departure.
If you have any other questions, you can contact our PRM service department by sending an e-mail to: PRM(at)leipzig-halle(dot)aero.

Parking
Where can I find disabled parking spaces?
Parking spaces for holders of a blue EU parking card are located
- in the parking garage (2nd floor - barrier-free to check-in)
- in the parking lot P1
- in the parking lot P2
- in the terminal driveway “Kiss & Fly” (lane 3)
Would you like to park for three hours or less?
With a blue EU parking permit or a severely disabled person's pass with the aG, H, B or Bl markings, you can park for up to three hours free of charge in the short-term parking zones (parking lot P1 and in the terminal driveway “Kiss & Fly” - lane 3). After entering, please go to the parking control center in Terminal B. There you will receive a discount of three hours on presentation of your disabled person's ID and identity card.
Please note:
- The card holder must be present in person, as the card is not transferable.
- For auditing reasons, we require personal details and will make a copy of the ID card.
- Discounts do not apply to online rates, reservations or parking processes lasting longer than 3 hours.
- Discounts are granted on a voluntary basis and there is no legal entitlement to them.
Departing
Support:
- when handing in your luggage and checking in;
- during security and passport checks;
- when making your way to the gate and preferential boarding on the plane.
If you would like to take your electric wheelchair with you, it must be stored in the hold as bulky luggage. It is therefore necessary for you to change into a folding wheelchair for the journey to the gate. You will then board the plane in a special wheelchair.
If you arrive in a manual wheelchair, change into the special wheelchair just before you board the plane. Your wheelchair will then be stowed in the cargo hold.
