Parking at Leipzig/Halle Airport
Leipzig/Halle Airport has more than 5,000 low-cost parking spaces. The parking spaces are divided into five large car parks outside and a multi-storey car park; the latter is directly connected to the terminal building. There is a car park right in front of the check-in area and a pick-up/drop-off lane at Terminal B for those bringing people to the airport or picking them up. What are the advantages of booking early?
The biggest advantage of making an early booking is that you are guaranteed a free parking space. You also benefit from lower prices in some cases. As you have already paid in advance, you can save yourself the walk to the pay station before you drive out.
How do you drive into the parking space that you have booked?
To reach the parking space that you have booked, simply insert the means of payment that you specified when making the booking (e.g. MasterCard, VISA card, Diner card or EC card) at the entrance barrier.
What happens if I wish to drive in before the arrival time that I have booked?
You can drive into the car park up to 2 hours before the parking time that you have booked.
What happens if the car park or the multi-storey car park sign shows that it is full?
If that is the case, you can still pass the barrier with the means of payment that you specified when making the booking, as your parking space has already been reserved for you.
What happens if I have taken a parking ticket at the entrance point?
Drive out of the car park immediately and use the means of payment that you specified when making the booking when you enter the car park again.
Do I need to take a parking ticket when driving into the car park?
No, you only need the means of payment that you specified when making your booking.
What happens if I am late and cannot keep to the arrival time that I booked?
If you have booked a parking space, you can enter the car park at any time during the period that you have booked.
What do I do if there are any problems at the car park barrier?
There is a help button at all the entry and exit barriers and it connects you to our service personnel at any time of the day or night.
How do I get out of the multi-storey-car park/car park?
Simply use the means of payment that you specified when making your booking and already used to enter the parking facility.
Do I need to go to a pay station before leaving?
No, that is not necessary. You can go directly to your vehicle and head for the exit.
Is it a problem if I exceed the parking time that I have booked?
No. If you have paid in advance with an online booking, we will charge you for the additional parking time according to the current price list.
What happens if I exceed the parking time that I have booked?
You have an extra 30 minutes anyway. After this, we will charge you for the additional parking time according to the current price list.
Can I drive in and out of the car park several times during the parking time that I have booked?
No, you are only entitled to enter and leave the car park once.
Is there a refund if I leave the car park earlier than booked?
No, refunds are not possible.
Can I cancel or rebook the parking space?
You can cancel your car park booking. If you cancel, fees are charged (see the General Terms and Conditions of Business). You can only rebook within the car park that you have booked (except for the P15 car park) via our service team.
Is there a deadline for making an advanced booking?
Yes. You can book a parking space online for the next day until 4 p.m. the day before.
Do I book a very specific parking space?
No. You simply book a parking space in the multi-storey car park or at the car park that you have selected. We guarantee then that the multi-storey car park or car park will have a space available for you.
Do I receive an invoice for my booking?
Yes, you receive an invoice covering your booking fee in the form of a PDF file when your booking is confirmed. You need the Acrobat Reader, which is available on the Internet free of charge, to read the invoice.
Why do I have to create a customer account?
The account helps you check your booking again and print it. It also gives you the opportunity to cancel it.
What happens if I have forgotten my password?
If this is the case, you can have your password sent to the e-mail address that you have stored in the system via the “Forgotten your password?” function. We recommend that you then change your password.
