Central German Airports: the 2023 summer timetable starts on 26 March
Leipzig/Halle Airport
Condor is the number one holiday airline at Leipzig/Halle Airport with up to 47 weekly departures to 13 destinations every week. Chania and Faro are new destinations this summer. The airline will fly to these sunshine destinations on Fridays and Saturdays respectively starting on 19 and 20 May.
It will also fly to the holiday regions of Antalya, Fuerteventura, Tenerife, Las Palmas, Funchal, Heraklion, Hurghada, Corfu, Kos, Rhodes and Mallorca.
European Air Charter and Freebird Airlines Europe will each fly to sunshine destinations around the Mediterranean, on the Black Sea and on the Atlantic Ocean as many as 14 times a week.
Lufthansa will connect Leipzig/Halle Airport with its hub in Frankfurt five times a day and fly to Munich twice a day.
Turkish Airlines will fly from Leipzig/Halle to its hub in Istanbul as many as five times a week.
Austrian Airlines will serve the Leipzig/Halle – Vienna route up to seven times a week.
Ryanair aircraft will take off from Leipzig/Halle heading for London three times a week and heading for Dublin twice a week.
The summer timetable at Leipzig/Halle Airport provides flights to 25 destinations in 11 different countries and they are operated by 20 airlines. As many as 206 flights* will take off each week.
Dresden Airport
Sundair is the number one holiday airline operating from Dresden with as many as 20 departures per week. The company will serve destinations in Egypt, Bulgaria, Greece, Spain, Turkey and Hungary. Tailwind will take off for Turkey up to 7 times a week.
KLM will fly to its hub in Amsterdam every day. SWISS will connect Dresden with Zurich on Mondays – Fridays and on Sundays. Ryanair will offer a connection between London and the Saxon state capital on Thursdays and Sundays.
Lufthansa and Air Dolomiti will fly to the hub in Frankfurt as many as five times a day. Lufthansa will serve the hub in Munich up to three times a day.
Eurowings will connect Dresden with Düsseldorf on Mondays – Fridays from 26 March. A Sunday flight will be available from June onwards. Eurowings will also fly to Palma de Mallorca every day except Saturdays.
Ryanair will fly to Palma de Mallorca from Dresden on Mondays and Wednesdays as well as on Thursdays and Fridays.
Those flying on holiday can also take off from to head to Antalya, Burgas, Varna, Hurghada, Heraklion, Rhodes, Corfu and Kos.
Ischia, the Gulf of Sorrento, Sicily, the Aeolian Islands and Sardinia are five destinations that will enhance the timetable from Dresden in April and May and will involve individual charter flights. They will be exclusively offered by the new tour operator, “MOMENTO powered by sz-Reisen”.
The summer timetable at Dresden Airport provides flights to 20 destinations in 10 different countries and they will be operated by 12 airlines. As many as 112 flights will take off each week.

Outlook for the 2023/2024 winter season – non-stop flights from Leipzig/Halle to Dubai again
Flights will once again operate from Leipzig/Halle to Dubai during the coming winter season. The SmartLynx airline will connect the Central German airport with the Emirate on the Arabian Gulf on behalf of the FTI tour operator twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, from 9 November onwards.

Tips for those dropping off and picking up passengers – park directly at the airports without having to spend a lot of money
Passengers can park their cars at the Central German airports for prices starting at EUR 15 per week. This is possible at the P4A car park at Dresden Airport.
Passengers can park their vehicles at the P20 car park at Leipzig/Halle Airport for EUR 20 for seven days if they make the booking online. You can find more information here: www.mdf-ag.com
Visitors, who are dropping off passengers for departures, can use the P11 car park right next to the check-in area or the multi-storey car park at Leipzig/Halle Airport.
Those dropping off or picking up passengers have been able to stop free of charge for 10 minutes in the restricted area in front of Terminal B (lane 3) since the beginning of this year. Fees must be paid for parking in the lanes if the 10-minute period is exceeded.
Guests who need more time can park their vehicles directly opposite the terminal at the P1 car park. The first ten minutes are also free of charge there.
