The 2024 summer timetable: new destinations and more services from Leipzig/Halle and Dresden

The summer timetable comes into effect at Leipzig/Halle and Dresden Airports on Sunday, 31 March with new destinations and more services. The timetable is valid until 26 October 2024.

Leipzig/Halle Airport

Condor is once again the number one among the holiday airlines at Leipzig/Halle Airport with as many as 56 weekly departures to 14 different destinations. Jerez de la Frontera in southern Spain and Agadir in Morocco are new sunshine destinations this summer. The airline will start flying to Spain on Fridays and Sundays from 17 May onwards and to Morocco on 20 May every Monday. 

Bucharest and Tirana are also new timetable destinations, which WIZZ Air Malta will start flying to from June and September respectively. There will be two flights to Bucharest and three to Tirana every week.

Overall, the timetable will comprise 29 sunshine destinations in Turkey, Spain, Greece, Bulgaria, Egypt, Italy, Portugal, Tunisia, Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, Croatia, Albania and Romania.

The holiday destinations with the most frequent flights include Antalya, Hurghada and Mallorca.  

Back in the timetable: Leipzig/Halle - Düsseldorf

Eurowings will directly connect Leipzig/Halle Airport with Düsseldorf again from 8 April onwards. The flights will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Planes from the Airbus A320 family will be used on this route.

Lufthansa will connect Leipzig/Halle Airport with its hub in Frankfurt up to five times a day.

Turkish Airlines will provide a service from Leipzig/Halle to its hub in Istanbul five times a week. Turkish Airlines then offers access to its global network of services from Istanbul and this comprises more than 300 destinations.

Austrian Airlines will operate the Leipzig/Halle – Vienna service on Mondays to Fridays and on Sundays.

Ryanair will fly to London from Leipzig/Halle three times a week.

The summer timetable at Leipzig/Halle Airport will provide flights to 33 destinations in 16 different countries and 29 airlines will offer these services. As many as 221* passenger flights will take off from the airport every week.

Dresden Airport

With as many as 14 weekly departures, Sundair is the number one airline among the holiday operators flying from Dresden. The airline will serve destinations in Egypt, Spain, Greece, Bulgaria and, what is new this year, Tunisia too.

New services and a new airline

The tour operator, Momento powered by sz-Reisen, is expanding its services from Dresden. It will be offering trips to popular destinations in Italy such as the Amalfi coast, Ischia, Sardinia, Sicily and the Aeolian Islands. Services to the Greek island of Santorini and directly to the heart of the Portuguese Algarve region in Faro will be new additions this year.

Fly Lili will be a new airline at Dresden Airport operating for the DER Touristik tour operator and will offer flights to Burgas in Bulgaria in June and July, every Monday and Saturday.

Eurowings will offer six flights to Palma de Mallorca each week – and Ryanair will fly there twice a week.

The most popular holiday destinations from Dresden will include Antalya and Mallorca. The overall services from Dresden will comprise 18 sunshine destinations in Turkey, Spain, Egypt, Bulgaria, Greece, Tunisia, Italy, Portugal and Montenegro.

SWISS will connect Dresden with its hub in Zurich on Mondays to Fridays and on Sundays; a large number of ongoing flights to other destinations operate from there.

Lufthansa will fly to its hub in Frankfurt up to four times a day. There will also be as many as four flights a day to its hub in Munich. Both airports offer direct access to the airline’s global network.

Eurowings will connect Dresden with Düsseldorf on Mondays – Fridays and on Sundays.  

The summer timetable at Dresden Airport will provide services to 22 destinations in twelve different countries and 14 airlines will offer these services. As many as 104 flights* will take off from the airport each week.

Parking directly at the airport

Passengers can park their vehicle at the Central German airports at prices starting from EUR 15 per week. This is the case at the P4A car park at Dresden Airport.  

Holiday tip: reserve your parking space online in good time  

We recommend that you reserve your parking space at Leipzig/Halle Airport online before you start your journey to enable a relaxed start to your holiday. Passengers can park their vehicle for seven days at the P20 car park at Leipzig/Halle Airport for EUR 45 when making an online booking. You can obtain more information here: www.mdf-ag.com

Visitors, who drop off departing passengers, can use the P11 car park right next to the check-in area at Leipzig/Halle Airport or the multi-storey car park.

People picking up or dropping off passengers can stop for ten minutes free of charge in the restricted pick-up/drop-off area (lane 3) in front of Terminal B. You have to pay for parking if you exceed this limit. Guests, who need more time, can park their vehicle directly opposite the terminal at the P1 car park. The first ten minutes are free of charge here too. If you spend 30 or 60 minutes at the car park, the fees at the P1 car park are no more than two or three euros.
