If you don’t fancy your chances on the “ice”, why not put your ice stock (curling) skills to the test on our 20-metre track. All ages and abilities welcome alike. There will be ice stocks available for both children and adults – perfect for nail-biting contests for up to eight people.
One floor above – on the visitor platform – visitors can watch aircraft taking off and landing. Rounding off Airport on Ice, our Airport team will be running an entertaining fringe event with guided tours, children's birthday parties, an ice hockey game and our annual vintage market. Our ice sports event will have its finale on 31 October with Halloween on Ice.

Fun-packed fringe event
Guided airport tours in the autumn school holidays from 6 to 21 October can be ideally combined with Airport on Ice. Our customer service offers a discounted ticket for this combination starting at €10.
This ticket entitles the holder to use the ice skating rink and to take part in a 90-minute guided tour. On this tour you will find out more about modern aviation and Dresden Airport. After going through a security check, a bus will take young and old visitors out to the apron, where the aircraft are being handled, and then visitors will get to see the fire station (booking required, charges apply).
On 3 October, the popular art, antique and vintage market will take place again. This family event taking place in the terminal (10:00-18:00) will also feature a toy and model railway fair, a jumble sale with children's items as well as fascinating tours of the fire station and weather station (booking required, charges apply). The ice rink is open from 10:00 to 20:00 on that day.
The Freital Ice Hockey Club "Penguins" will stage a show training unit on Sunday 21 October from 12:00 to 16:00, followed by an Airport on Ice hockey game.
Also, our Autumn Café will open its doors for you on 21 and 28 October. Between 12:00 and 18:00, our team will offer fresh waffles, tarte flambée and apple pie as well as autumn-inspired smoothies, federweisser and hot beverages on the visitor platform.
The Halloween on Ice event with ghoulish face painting and art and craft fun will conclude the ice skating season on 31 October.
There will also be Halloween Airport tours (booking required, charges apply) including marshmallow toasting and pumpkin target spraying at the airport fire station.
In October, our little guests may use the 200-square meters synthetic ice rink as an additional attraction on the popular “High Flyer” birthday parties for children. Our flat rate is €285 covering up to 15 people. It includes a colourfully decorated birthday table with a surprise for the birthday girl/boy, ice skating, skate hire, a guided tour of the airport, table football, sweet snacks, beverages, supervision and invitation cards.
