The Central German airports of Dresden and Leipzig/Halle are aiming to be the perfect business location for all customers in the airline and tourism sectors, for regional partners as well as for passengers. In order to reach this goal, MFAG is establishing the newly created Customer Experience division – and it is the first company in the sector to do so. Inga Backhaus is taking over as head of this department. In this position, she will report to the CEO. The division is responsible for the strategic business and product development for the many different kinds of customer journeys. To achieve this, processes and services will be consistently geared towards customers’ needs: that is to say, improved services, a welcome culture, uncluttered and inviting terminals as well as optimised procedures and the ongoing development of shopping and catering facilities.

Developing, marketing and managing the real estate at Leipzig/Halle and Dresden Airports are key elements in the Real Estate Development/Management department. The responsibility for sustainability at both the airports will be integrated within this division in future. The goal is to implement the sustainability strategy, which has already been adopted, and achieve climate-neutrality by 2030. Katrin Lässig will continue to head this department. She also reports directly to the CEO, Götz Ahmelmann.
