New in the 2018/19 winter season: Dresden to Agadir with FTI

From 1 November there will be a new direct flight to Agadir in the upcoming winter timetable. Every Thursday, Small Planet Airlines will be flying holidaymakers to the Moroccan coastal city on behalf of tour operator FTI Touristik. The flying time on the Airbus A320 will be just under four-and-a-half hours. Agadir last featured on Dresden Airport’s departure board in the 2014/15 winter season.

Popular sunshine destination

Known as the “gateway to Morocco”, Agadir welcomes sun-seekers with its wide, flat sandy beaches but also makes an excellent base for city tours and round trips.

This bathing hotspot offers holidaymakers a wide range of hotels, while the surfer’s paradise Taghazout, the white city of Essaouira and the royal city of Marrakesh are all within quick and easy reach.

Elia Gad, Group Head of Destination Orient at FTI:

“In Agadir and the surrounding area, holidaymakers can lounge away the days on the long, wide Atlantic beaches, immersing themselves in the magic of the fairytale kingdom. But the new flight also enables travellers from the Dresden catchment area to easily combine their beach holiday with a few days in Marrakesh or explore Morocco on a round trip.”

Markus Kopp, CEO of Mitteldeutscher Flughafen AG and General Manager of Dresden Airport:

“In the cold months many people in our region yearn for summer temperatures, golden beaches and relaxation. Agadir provides all this and more and is an excellent enhancement of the range of flights from Dresden in the winter season.”

Other FTI flights from Dresden

In cooperation with Corendon Airlines Europe, FTI will be flying holidaymakers to the Egyptian seaside resort of Marsa Alam every Thursday and to Hurghada on Wednesdays and Sundays in the winter timetable. Both destinations are already on offer in the current summer timetable.
