Leipzig/Halle Airport shares a joint stand with Airea and the Central German Metropolitan Region at the Expo Real 2022 trade fair
“We’ve got the space, you’ll get the success.” This is the motto that LEJ is using at this year’s Expo Real at the Trade Fair Center Messe Munich on stand 220/320 in hall C1. Companies, investors and other interested parties can directly obtain information about the sites on offer and the development potential at the airport on the LEJ stand. In addition to areas for airport-related, commercial/industrial usage and logistics, LEJ is making available ten hectares of space in the airport’s central area to attract research and development ventures through its planned Innovation Campus.
Götz Ahmelmann, the CEO of MFAG, comments, “Leipzig/Halle Airport is one of the leading European cargo airports with a central location at the heart of Germany, ideal connections and high levels of quality at the site. That’s why more than 200 companies have set up business operations here during the last few years. The good news is that we still have space for further growth and are presenting all the site benefits offered by the region at the trade fair in conjunction with our partners.”
LEJ is using part of the exhibition space provided by the Metropolitan Region in conjunction with Airea, a new cooperation arrangement involving the Saxony Trade and Investment Corporation (WFS), Mitteldeutscher Airport AG (MFAG) and Investitions- und Marketinggesellschaft Sachsen-Anhalt (IMG). Both the CEO, Götz Ahmelmann, and Katrin Lässig, who is Head of the Real Estate and Sustainability Department, will be available to hold discussions with people on the stand.
LEJ and Airea will also use lectures to provide information about space and potential and the speakers will be available to answer questions. This will be the main focus on the second day of the trade fair on Wednesday, 5 October:
- 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.: Keynote address by Götz Ahmelmann: “Airea – Gateway to markets, people, ideas” on the Free State of Saxony stand, hall A2, stand 320
- 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.: Katrin Lässig will be part of the specialist forum entitled “The Leipzig/Halle Airport Region – a growth engine in Central Germany” on the Metropolitan Region’s joint stand, hall C1, stand 220/320
- From 5 p.m. onwards: Reception by Leipzig/Halle Airport on the LEJ/Airea stand, hall C 1, stand 220/320, directly opposite the Metropolitan Region
Götz Ahmelmann adds, “We’re looking forward to some exciting, concentrated days at the Expo Real trade fair. I’m certain that the Metropolitan Region, Airea and naturally LEJ will be able to persuade interested parties from Germany and abroad about the quality levels at our site and arouse their enthusiasm for the Central German region.”
