From two to seven flights per week SHAOKE focuses on growth at LEJ!
SHAOKE Logistics From newcomer to globally leading logistics company
In just a decade, SHAOKE Logistics has established itself as one of the leading players in international logistics - known for efficiency, innovation, and global expansion. CEO Chen Shi (born Stone) talks about the company's success strategy, the role of Leipzig/Halle Airport (LEJ), and the future of logistics between China and Europe.
With Leipzig/Halle as a central hub, SHAOKE is driving its expansion in Europe: From two to seven flights per week - and this is just the beginning in 2025.

SHAOKE as a global player - What makes the success?
SHAOKE has quickly made a name for itself in the international logistics business. How would you describe the market positioning?
We are celebrating our 10th anniversary this year. During this time, we have positioned ourselves as a "GLOCAL" logistics company - with global reach and strong local presence at the same time. Our clear goal: We help companies worldwide to reach their full potential.
How do you implement this high standard in practice?
Clearly: With teamwork. In China, we work closely with our local customers, and the same principle applies to our expansion into Europe. We have built strong teams on-site that speak over 30 languages. Local expertise is crucial for quick responsiveness and efficient processes.
Your business runs around the clock, especially in e-commerce. What makes SHAOKE so successful in this area?
In addition to our employees, our structured processes and standardized operating procedures (SOPs) are also a success factor. With 17 of our own warehouses worldwide and over 100 international partners, we ensure that our customers receive the same high quality everywhere. Another point I'd like to emphasize: More than half of our employees are women. Diversity and competence are crucial for us to stay ahead in the competition.

Challenges and opportunities in Germany
What role does Germany play in your European expansion strategy?
Germany is the central hub for our European business. It is where we started our business footprint 10 years ago. It is still now the focal point for our business growth to support our Europe expansion and pilot business programs.
Customs and compliance are central issues in international logistics. How is SHAOKE positioning itself in Germany?
Compliance is of utmost importance to us. The risks of non-compliance are enormous, which is why we have strict internal guidelines and have invested in technical solutions for universal customs reporting and processing.
At the same time, strong local partnerships are essential. The support of Leipzig/Halle Airport was a decisive factor for us to successfully enter the German market.
How do you assess the cooperation with German authorities?
Our experience with German customs is generally positive. Of course, it takes time to get used to it, during which both sides have to align processes. Transparency, willingness to compromise, and patience are crucial here.
Are there any disadvantages?
Yes - the wage level in Germany is comparatively high, which increases logistics costs.
SHAOKE at LEJ - Expansion and future plans
What were the key factors in your decision to become active at LEJ?
We continuously analyze markets and evaluate locations based on position, turnover volume, and infrastructure. Leipzig/Halle convinced us with excellent framework conditions - but the most important factor was the great team on-site. The cooperation has been running smoothly since 2019.
Were there challenges in establishing at LEJ?
Definitely. Especially in e-commerce B2C, there were initially hurdles with customs clearance (IOSS). But through close cooperation with the airport, we were able to solve these quickly.
What is your vision for this location?
Currently, we operate two charter flights per week to Leipzig/Halle, which means a total of 104 flights per year. Our goal is to significantly increase the frequency - we want to increase to a daily flight this year. This would allow us to optimally utilize our facilities and at the same time make customs procedures more efficient.
We are already working intensively to achieve this goal. However, the current shortage of charter flights worldwide is a challenge.
SHAOKE as a bridge between China and Europe
What drives you personally as CEO?
I see myself as a lifelong learner. Whether through books, conversations with industry leaders, or strategic analyses - I constantly work on developing myself and SHAOKE. My own international experience also helps me: My education and career in German companies like Siemens and Bosch have given me practical cross-culture management experience, vast global exposure, and indepth insights in supply chain management. This makes it easier for me to understand the cultural and economic differences between China and Europe - and precisely this connection is crucial for successful business relationships.
What message do you have for companies looking for a logistics partner?
SHAOKE doesn't just deliver - we build bridges. With our international experience, local expertise, and tailored solutions, we can help make logistics more efficient and successful.
