Good Distribution Practice (GDP) summarises all the measures that are used to maintain the quality and integrity of medical products by making checks on the logistics chain. PortGround once again gained certification for this line of business at the end of April. The audit took a complete working day and was accompanied by a video camera on a mobile phone on this occasion – because of the pandemic. The examiners from an outside company assessed the complete pharmaceutical holding at PortGround. This included the quality assurance system – and also the training measures required and the hygiene standards. The checks not only focused on the Wordl Cargo Center (WCC), but also the refrigerated hangar and the freight office.
